A very nice place which offered a beautiful view,the food was very good and you could tell it was fresh.The owner very nice and friendly.Overall would definitely recommend it

Came here in January, and noticed how many places to eat were closed. DIdn't have any local tips at the time, but stumbled across this one. Guardian has done a raving review on them and we thought we're check them out too. Was not disappointed. We went on a quiet afternoon had a few nibbles, like meatballs, stuffed peppers, burek. All were very well priced, and very tasty. Special shoutout to the meatballs - supremely well flavoured. He let us try his homemade raki which was silky smooth - had a really good taste to it. Bashkim, the owner treated us with great hospitality that day. The first time we went we realised we couldn't order the Tave kosi unless we ordered ahead, so we locked it in for lunch the next day. When we came around the next day, he even made sure we didn't have to pay the castle entrance fee again, and welcomed us with open arms to an AMAZING tave kosi. lamb was literally perfect, and the flavours were all wonderful. Of course, all the ingredients are from neighbouring ƒarms. He let us try some of his home made red wine from the grapes not far away - this was a great choice to go with the tave kosi. We ended up buying one of his bottles for a measly 1000lek. We walked away extremely satisfied. Highly recommend to call up before hand to get the tave kosi.

Best traditional food with a wonderful view

Really nice cosy place with good food to choose from, also for vegetarians/vegans. Very friendly guy who owns the place and took our orders.
