I went to Shajarit this morning to say Kaddish for my mother who passed away 2 days ago. I arrived at 7:20 with talit and tefillin and my ID. They asked me at the entrance if I know someone there, I answered that I live abroad and I don't know anyone and arrive on the recommendation of friends. I was not allowed to enter saying that it is a “private” synagogue and I cannot enter unless I know someone. I asked to speak with the rabbi but there was no case. It seemed an outrageous and unusual attitude. A person who was just passing by suggested I go to Or Hamizrah 2 blocks away from Peace City. There I was welcomed without any problem.
