Estancia Las Margaritas

At the end of the 19th century, La Margarita was bought by Enrique Forgues and called "La Margarita" in honor of his wife Margarita Schneider. As the original ranch was passed down through the family, it was preserved and functioned as a large 7,000-hectare ranch for over 100 years. At the beginning of the 20th century, the estancia was a great producer of wool, and later it was well known for its meat quality. In the early 1990s, the estancia began to attract tourists to the area. To this day, La Margarita continues to operate as a work stay that also serves to share the experience of the stay with those seeking an Argentine rural experience. Jane Boxhall bought the ranch in early 2016. A long way from her native Wales, where she grew up on the family farm. Jane divides her time between Argentina and the UK while continuing to manage both her family farm in Wales and La Margarita. Jane has been involved with horses from an early age and has extensive knowledge of country life.
