Lismore Greyhounds

Held my 50th birthday party in the function room on New Year’s Eve. Race night Tuesday was a bonus. Bar staff were friendly and good fun. Manager John was great to deal with in the planning. Great venue.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere. You can watch the finish from right beside the track. Will definitely go again when next in town.

Planted over 1,000 trees. 100 lovely like minded ppl.... Great day!!

Maybe the best track I've seen so far, you're so close to the track that you can get a good look at the dogs as they go past. You can clearly see the dogs can't wait to race. There is a small canteen, a counter to place bets and I like the fact that they have a tractor that goes around and levels out the sand on the track. I'm not sure if it is a common thing but on the day we went there was an entrance fee per person, however they do have pensioners discount. I didn't realise they were so close to the river, if you have a great sense of smell like I do then the smell might throw you off. Occasionally when the wind blows you may get the smell of mangroves, but its not a deal breaker.

There is nice Air-conditioned dinner upstairs, take away and bar downstairs.nFood was nice and affordable.
