Only in Jedburgh for a brief visit so only viewed from a distance but would return another time as it looked well maintained and an interesting place to visit

I loved the live people dressed in authentic clothing of the time, and the atmosphere of the place gave me a real feel of what conditions were like. Also the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dog's are allowed in the grounds but not in the actual jail

We were originally driving through Jedburgh but decided to stop and explore. The castle museum is worth a visit even if you just shoot around briefly like I had to do because they were closing. Plenty of interesting information if you want to know all about the history, but also great if you want to just explore. The beautiful building is worth having a look at by itself.
