Rezzo (Imperia, Liguria) is a village located in a basin of the middle Giara valley, closed by the two mountain peaks of Mount Prearba (1,446 m) and Mount Carpasina (1,415 m). The village, of late medieval origin, stands on a ridge surrounded by vineyards and a large beech forest. The most important monument is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Sepulcher and Maria Bambina. Built in the 15th century in Romanesque style, it is located about two kilometers from the town. The interior is embellished with frescoes by the painter Pietro Guido da Ranzo, dating back to 1515, with depictions inherent in scenes from the life of Jesus. In a niche you can admire a marble statue of the Madonna and Child. The work, dating back to the 17th century, is due to the sculptor Filippo Parodi, a pupil of Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
