I go in and the elderly manager has his back to me for a good five minutes (looking for a key he can't find) despite his wife having warned him that there was a customer. Finally he turns around with a grumpy face, I ask him about the problem (car key cover to be replaced) and he tells me that the whole key needs to be redone for 35 euros. I say goodbye and leave. A short distance away there is another hardware store that solves the problem for me at 15 euros without redoing the key (which works). Now, seniority should be an added value, not a pretext for being rude to a potential client. I'm sorry but a service like this can't work nowadays.
